Fine Art Printing for Artists, Galleries & Photographers

Museum-quality prints for artists, galleries, and photographers in Connecticut and beyond.

Print Your Work the Way It Deserves

Reproducing original artwork is a different discipline than commercial printing. Color has to match what came out of the studio, not what looks good on a brochure. Detail has to survive enlargement. Inks and papers have to last decades, not seasons. KatArt Graphics produces fine art prints for artists, photographers, illustrators, and galleries who need their work reproduced faithfully — and built to last.

Archival Printing on Premium Papers and Canvas

Fine art printing is high-resolution inkjet output using pigment-based archival inks on acid-free papers and canvas. Done right, a fine art print is virtually indistinguishable from the original to the eye, and the colors stay true for 100+ years under proper display conditions.

We print on a curated range of substrates so you can match the print to the work:

  • Fine art papers — Clean, neutral surfaces for illustration, graphic art, and high-detail photography, Watercolor, pastel, and traditional painting reproductions
  • Matte and luster photo papers — Photographic prints with rich blacks and accurate color
  • Art Canvas — Stretched or rolled canvas reproductions of paintings, ready for gallery wrap or framing
  • Specialty papers — Don’t hesitate to ask about other surfaces for projects that call for them

Not sure which surface fits your work? Bring us the original (or a high-res file) and we’ll talk you through it.

What We Print for Artists & Photographers

Whether you’re producing a single archival print of an original, a limited edition run, or open-edition reproductions for sale, we handle it:

  • Original artwork reproduction — Paintings, drawings, mixed media, and illustrations scanned or photographed and color-matched to the original
  • Photographic prints — Fine art photo printing for exhibitions, portfolios, and gallery sales
  • Limited edition prints — Numbered, signed, and editioned runs with consistent color from first print to last
  • Canvas gallery wraps — Stretched canvas prints, ready to hang
  • Open editions & art prints — Affordable reproductions for artists selling at shows, online, or through galleries
  • Portfolio prints — High-quality samples for student portfolios, gallery submissions, and client presentations
  • Exhibition prints — Show-ready prints for solo and group exhibitions

If you have an original that needs to be scanned or photographed first, we can handle that too.

Color, Detail, and Longevity You Can Count On

A reproduction is only as good as the file it was printed from and the process that printed it. We use:

  • Calibrated, color-managed workflows so the print matches the original — not a guess
  • Archival inks rated for 100+ years of display life under typical lighting
  • Acid-free, archival substrates that won’t yellow, brittle, or break down

For artists building an inventory or selling editions, consistency across reprints matters as much as the first print. Our process keeps every print in the run looking like the one before it.

Why Connecticut Artists Choose KatArt

We’ve been printing in New Milford for over 35 years, and we work with artists, photographers, and galleries throughout Litchfield, Fairfield, and Westchester counties — Kent, Washington, New Milford, Brookfield, Danbury, Ridgefield, and beyond. Local matters in fine art printing more than almost any category: you can come in, see proofs in person, hold the paper in your hand, and approve color the way it was meant to be approved — under real light, not on a calibrated-but-still-imperfect monitor.

We’re happy to work with artists at any scale, from a one-time archival print of a single piece to ongoing print-on-demand for editioned work.
